Give Thanks for What You Do Have

Pedro was driving down the street in a panic because he had an important meeting and couldn’t find a parking place.

Looking up toward heaven, he said “Lord, take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of my life and give up tequila.”

Miraculously, a parking place appeared.

Pedro looked up again and said “Never mind. I found one.”

(Give Thanks – Don’t Be Like Pedro)

Lord, I thank You for the gifts You have blessed me with. I commit to using them responsibly in Your honor. Give me a fresh supply of strength to do all I need to do. Anoint my projects, ideas, and energy so that even my smallest accomplishment may bring You glory.

Lord, when I am confused, guide me. When I am weary, energize me. When I am burned out, infuse me with the light of the Holy Spirit. May the tasks that I do and the way I do them bring faith, joy and a smile to all that I come in contact with today.

Lord, I thank You for everything You’ve done, everything You’re doing, and everything You’re going to do.

In the name of Jesus I pray, with much love and thanksgiving…

Thank you, Lord, Thank you
Thank you for all the gifts that you have given me lately.
Thank you for all I have seen, heard, received.
Thank you for the water that woke me up, the soap that smells good,
the toothpaste that refreshes.
Thank you for the clothes that protect me.
Than you for the work I have
Thank you for the food that sustains me, for the car that took me
where I wanted to be.
Thank you for the wind that sways the trees on a summer day
Thank you for the morning greetings I received and for all the smiles
Thank you for the roof that shelters me, the lamp that lights my way,
the radio that plays my music
Thank you for being there Lord.
Thank you for listening to me, for taking me seriously, for gathering
my gifts in your hands to offer them to your Father.
Thank you Lord,
Thank you.
